Marketplace rules for CHIR

These terms describe the rules for buying, renting, reselling, donating, paying, refunding, and using the CHIR marketplace responsibly.

They are written to support Google Play review, OAuth verification, and a public website that users can read before they complete sign-in, checkout, or deletion flows.

CHIR is a sustainable fashion marketplace for buying, renting, reselling, and donation workflows. These pages are published for the CHIR website and app so users can review legal terms, privacy details, and account deletion guidance before they take action.

1. Acceptance Of Terms

By using CHIR, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and any additional rules shown in the app or on the website. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

CHIR is a marketplace for sustainable fashion buying, selling, renting, and donation workflows. The service may evolve over time, but the core rules below apply to all users unless we publish updated terms.

2. Account And Eligibility

  • You must provide accurate information when you create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password, Google sign-in, and account session secure.
  • You may not impersonate another person or create an account for unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent use.
  • CHIR may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the law, or the safety of the platform.

3. Marketplace Rules

  • Use CHIR only for lawful clothing, accessory, rental, and donation activity.
  • Listings should be accurate, current, and consistent with the item you actually own or control.
  • You may not post counterfeit, stolen, dangerous, illegal, obscene, or prohibited content.
  • Users must not upload false payment proof, fake refunds, or misleading moderation details.
  • CHIR may review listings, payment proof, returns, rentals, donations, and account behavior for safety and quality.

4. Seller Obligations

  • Only list items you own or are otherwise authorized to sell or rent.
  • Describe product condition, size, brand, category, and price honestly.
  • Upload clear images that match the actual item as closely as possible.
  • Keep inventory available and update availability when an item is sold, rented, or removed.
  • Respond promptly to verification, moderation, and support requests.

5. Buyer And Renter Obligations

  • Provide accurate shipping, pickup, refund, and contact details.
  • Review product details, rental dates, deposits, delivery fees, and refund deductions before confirming.
  • Pay on time and do not attempt to bypass payment verification.
  • For rentals, return items on time and in the agreed condition, subject to reasonable wear and tear.
  • Do not abuse cancellation, refund, or dispute systems.

6. Orders, Payments, And Verification

CHIR may support more than one payment path depending on the flow and configuration:

  • Razorpay for online payment processing and verification.
  • Manual UPI transfers with screenshot proof and UTR or transaction ID submission.
  • Cash on Delivery where the checkout flow allows it.

Manual payments remain pending until the proof is reviewed. We may hold, approve, or reject a payment or order if something appears inconsistent, incomplete, or fraudulent.

7. Cancellation Policy

Orders may generally be cancelled only before shipment or before the order moves beyond the relevant processing stage. Once shipping, delivery, rental activation, or moderation review has begun, cancellation may no longer be possible.

If an order is cancelled after it has already moved through payment or review steps, any refund or deduction will follow the rules in these terms and in the refund section shown in the app.

8. Return And Refund Policy

  • Eligible returns must be requested within 3 days of delivery unless a specific listing or support decision says otherwise.
  • Users must provide the reason, proof image, pickup details, and refund destination details.
  • Approved refunds are calculated after deducting the delivery charge and the Rs 20 return handling fee.
  • Refunds are usually sent to the UPI ID or bank account details supplied with the return request.
  • Refund timing may vary depending on verification, banking partners, and support review.

9. Rental Rules

  • Rental bookings depend on availability, blocked dates, and the dates you select at checkout.
  • Security deposits may apply and may be shown separately from the rental fee.
  • Rental items should be returned by the agreed date and in the agreed condition.
  • Late returns, damage, or policy violations may affect the refundable deposit and the final status of the rental.
  • Rental bookings may be cancelled or declined if the item is unavailable or the dates conflict with another booking.

10. Intellectual Property

You keep ownership of content you upload, but you give CHIR a limited license to host, process, display, distribute, and moderate that content as needed to operate the marketplace.

You may not use CHIR branding, logos, photos, or product content in a way that violates another party’s intellectual property rights. You are responsible for obtaining rights to any images or materials you upload.

11. Prohibited Content And Conduct

  • Counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, unlawful, or deceptive items.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior.
  • False proof of payment, false proof of return, or false refund claims.
  • Content that violates the rights of others or that tries to bypass CHIR moderation.
  • Attempts to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the platform.

12. Liability Limits

To the maximum extent allowed by law, CHIR is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that every listing, payment, delivery, or rental outcome will be perfect or uninterrupted.

CHIR is not responsible for losses caused by user misconduct, incorrect information, third-party service failures, shipping delays, banking delays, or events outside our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it will be limited as required by applicable law.

13. Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong, contact CHIR support first so we can review the issue. Many payment, order, and return disputes can be resolved through the dashboard, help center, or admin review flow.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the matter will be handled under the law and dispute process that applies to the CHIR service in the jurisdiction where it operates, unless a different rule is required by law.

14. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we will publish the updated version on the website and in the app. Continued use of CHIR after an update means you accept the revised terms.
